Make your request for coverage approximately 2 weeks in advance of your event. Find out when their story deadlines are. If it is a news worthy human interest story, contact the staff writer who covers those kind of events.
Example: Do not send Human interest stories to a sports writer-- don't send a sports story to the Human Interest writer, just because you follow their columns.
Daily Media Organization need news, you can become a "authority" if they can count on you when they need additions to their stories. Let the media know what you are doing that would be of interest to their readers. Remember they need news to report on a daily basis.

I frequently run across people that find themselves having had to bounce back from adversity, they are encountering challenges, attacks on finances, families, health, hopes, dreams, efforts. Many of these challenges are initiated by people who are known and trusted. I am here to offer encouragement, no matter what you have encountered, get up, dust yourself off and try all over again.
People around the world make a "Resolution" each year, of which we all know that NO ONE adheres to more than a few weeks, I want to tell you, not to make a "NEW" Resolution, but to RE-NEW YOUR RESOLVE!
Yes-- You Can Do It!
If it didn't work last time, its because it wasn't time. So it's time to try it again.
We are never judged on what we try that failed, but to achieve success from your your gifts and and talent you are requiree to give it all you have, re-evaluate your vision, re-evaluate your plan, re-evaluate your goals, if you haven't written the plan do it now. There is an expression that says:
"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail"
Failure is a fast way to appease others "saying" I tried... but did you?
You might not succeed (on your own) you will never know until you try. Are you planning to fail?
If you truly want to succeed, get up, dust yourself off and N-E-V-E-R let it be said "You didn't try".
